Miracle on 34th Street

It has been yet another fun and festive week here in Sweet Sir Isaac's world.  From do-goodery to holiday cheer, Isaac has kept a very full schedule.

On Friday we had a long overdue visit with Amanda.  Isaac was happy to politely share snacks with us and show Amanda his favorite decorations around the house.  When Amanda pulled out her phone to take Isaac's picture, he totally posed by leaning back and looking over his shoulder at the camera.

This past weekend, Isaac participated in his first ever Stop Hunger Now event (with the exception of being in utero the last time the event took place).  Mommy bought a toddler Tula particularly for the occasion, and Isaac did better than expected for the two hour meal packaging extravaganza.  Isaac kept his hairnet on and happily danced, laughed, and explored from the comfort of Mommy's back (although none of the pictures seem to depict just how happy he was).  Isaac was surrounded by familiar faces with Daddy, Sandy, Buddy, Aunt Margie, Brandon, Corey, and Kristen all nearby at the assembly table giving lots of smiles and hairnet adjustments, as well as Mommom, CharliePop, Barb, Jim, Ruthie, Sharon, and Ying (to name a few) stopping by for frequent kisses and tickles.  It was definitely a group effort keeping this guy content and entertained!

Isaac was thrilled to get to hit the special Stop Hunger Now gong!

On Sunday we had a fun night out to Hampden with Mommom & CharliePop, going out to dinner at Rocket to Venus and then checking out the lights on 34th Street. Isaac was totally mesmerized and loved checking out all of the sights.  In addition to the lights, inflatables, and ornaments, Isaac was also interested in people watching. As we were getting ready to leave, Isaac caught sight of "Balmer's Best Hon 2013" across the street, so we went over to go see her.  She happily held Isaac and was a great sport as he pointed and admired all of her festive accessories and sparkles. The only thing Isaac wasn't a fan of was Mr. Boh dressed in a Santa suit.  We waited for our turn for a photo op, and as we led him up to stand with Mr. Boh, Isaac whined and turned the other way. So Mommy picked him up for a quick picture before getting Isaac to "higher ground" (the stoop of a house a few doors up), where Isaac sat and observed Mr. Boh from afar.

oooh! ahhh!

During the week we had another stop to the airplane park. We also headed down to the Ikea in College Park where Isaac had a lot of fun playing in the kids' department, sitting in all of the different Isaac-sized chairs and crawling through the tunnel.

So far, Isaac has been pretty good about leaving the Christmas trees alone.  He seems to really enjoy sitting in the rocking chair and looking at the tree, as he can often be found there when the gate to that side of the house is left open.

And of course Isaac is happy, if not insistent, to help with decorating when possible.  All week he has been eyeing up the package of jumbo Christmas bulbs we picked up from Costco, and was very excited to help Daddy hang them outside after Mommy strung them up.  He also tried to help out when a string of lights fell from their hanging spot above the sliding door.

Cheesing with Daddy!
