Cruising!

Isaac is up to some fun new tricks!

At physical therapy this week, Mommy learned Isaac is now "cruising" which just means he's holding himself up to standing and moving side to side. He is playing around with foot position and balance which is pretty cool to observe.  We also learned that since Isaac is progressing so well that he can start phasing out of physical therapy altogether.  This was kind of bittersweet news as Isaac and Mommy have enjoyed going; Isaac gets to play with all sorts of fun toys, and Mommy has been learning so much about baby development.  We will probably have just a few more visits over the new few months.

Isaac continues to be a great eater with a huge appetite.  Some of this week's new foods were black bean spaghetti, blackberries, wonton ravioli, Udon noodles, grapefruit and mahi mahi.  To give an idea of how much he is eating, here is a before and after shot of breakfast the other day:

He's been enjoying the bit of snow we've been getting and eating breakfast while watching the dogs outside:

We spent Superbowl Sunday with Grandpa Larry.  Between plays, Daddy shared a robotics video with Grandpa and Isaac. It's hard to tell who is more fascinated.

Isaac also started clapping this week whenever we say "yay" or "clap your hands" which was really exciting for Mommy.  Isaac has always loved watching others clap, but now he can do it himself! Here he is clapping rather smugly at breakfast:

And perhaps our favorite "trick" yet is that Isaac seems to finally be heading toward sleeping through the night! This week he has only been waking once at night to eat and then goes back to bed, spending his entire 12 hours of sleep in his crib! We hope we're not jinxing it by announcing it on the blog!
**UPDATE: Isaac seems to sleep well through the night when he is wearing a particular set of pajamas (you may notice he's wearing the same grey stripes in most of these pictures!).
