hm, what to choose? |
trying out a new puzzle |
We finally had some warm weather so Isaac was able to get outside and play with his new water table. He seemed to really enjoy it and there were several times he got so caught up in playing with the sailboats that he actually stood all on his own holding the boat (didn't get a picture). He didn't seem to realize he was doing it though.
Isaac also had his 1 year well visit. He's still in the 50th percentile for height and head circumference and 25th percentile for weight. He couldn't have been more relaxed when the nurse measured him, just stretched out on the exam table.
When we got home from the appointment, Isaac was having fun crawling all over the place, and somehow his pants had fallen down. Mommy caught a funny video clip of him with his pants down, playing chase with Allie and squealing with delight.
He still loves climbing the steps and staring out the window.
We got to spend some quality time with Liz over the weekend. She was sick on the day of Isaac's party, so we got together when she was feeling better. At first Isaac was quite mesmerized by her. He stopped eating his lunch and just open-mouth stared for a long time. Then his stare slowly changed to smiles, and he then started doing a very cute head-tilt smile and would just hold that position until she looked his way and laughed. He did this over and over again.
This week Mommy had to go to her old school to drop off and pick up a bunch of things, so Isaac got to visit with some old and new friends. He hung out with Debbie and her pre-K students while Mommy made a few stops. He was quite fascinated by all of the excited 4-year-olds surrounding him, as you can see from his intense staring.
Isaac has been really interested in sitting in our chairs. It's very cute how once you put him in the chair he reaches out both arms to grab the arm rests. We are on the lookout for some Isaac-sized chairs that he can safely enjoy.
The other night while in the tub, Isaac started saying "Mama" in a very deep, creepy voice. He did it for so long Mommy worried something was wrong and that he maybe had something stuck in his throat. He then switched to loud, high pitched squeals and other silly sounds. So when he started doing it again, Mommy caught it on video. He went from speaking in this demon voice to breaking into interpretive dance. Perhaps this was Isaac's first April Fool's joke.
We bought some new area rugs for different parts of the house, but once we got them home we decided we didn't like them enough to keep them. So once they were rolled up ready to be returned, Isaac (and Allie) were very interested in the large, plastic covered log in the family room.
