Monday we celebrated Isaac's 4th Opening Day as we have every other year, at home with CharliePop and this year also with Poo-Pa Larry, Steve, and Declan. Isaac was so excited to wear his O's gear to school that day, and to go home after school to eat hotdogs at the "party". Steve and Declan were arriving just as we got home and Mommy shared the surprise that Declan was coming over, to which Isaac got even more excited and exclaimed, "Wow! EVERYONE is here!" The boys had a lot of fun together, even with Isaac being a bit stubborn and playing hard-to-get. At one point when both Isaac and Declan were sitting across from each other at the big table, Declan took a bite of his hotdog and said, "Isaac, ...I like you!" to which Isaac replied, "Yeah!"
This is the only picture I got from the "party". Isaac lugged Steve's cooler inside and guarded it, insisting it was his and that it did not belong to Steve. |
In non-Orioles news this week, Isaac and Mommy enjoyed movie and pizza night with Mommom and CharliePop, and Isaac got to stay for a sleepover. When we got home from school on Friday, Isaac announced, "I am ready to go to Mommom and CharliePop's house for movie night and pizza night and popcorn night."
On Palm Sunday we went to the game, mainly motivated by the Oriole's fedora giveaway for kids under 14. Isaac was very excited to go to the baseball game to get a hat, eat hotdogs, popcorn, and cotton candy. And boy, did he eat! After eating a bowl of granola cereal and banana with peanut butter for breakfast, and snacking all throughout church, he proceeded to eat 2 and a half hotdogs (Applegate turkey dogs from home...but still!), popcorn, peanuts, a bottle of water, and half of his prized pink cotton candy. He then ate more when we got home! Isaac had fun at the game but seemed most excited about the escalators, stairs, and number statues (as he played "tag" with them, running up to each number, announcing what it was, and then running to another).

Not quite as excited with his hat as we had expected. |
carrying cotton candy back to your seat is serious business |
