More than half of a year has gone by since Isaac joined our world! He continues to be our main source of laughs, entertainment, and cuddles, and as of late he has also been the source of some very sleepless nights as he works through a "fussy phase" according to Wonder Weeks. He is still our happy, cheery guy...just so long as we're not trying to get him to sleep!
At 7 months, Isaac...
- weighs about 16 pounds and is about 26 inches tall
- is still exclusively breastfed
- but experimenting with some solid foods (although nothing seems to have made it to his belly just yet)
- loves dancing in Mommy's arms
- is most ticklish around his collarbone
- has 6 teeth - 4 top and 2 bottom
- gets to spend 2 days a week with Aunt Margie while Mommy teaches at CCBC (and one of those days is with his cousin, Declan!)
- can sit up
- loves to grab faces (and glasses and earrings)
- is starting to scoot/drag himself
- can roll over from belly to back and vice versa
- loves nature walks in the backyard with Daddy
- is starting to reach out to be picked up
- is becoming increasingly interested in the dogs, especially Allie
- is AKA Peach Head, Little Guy, Pumpkin Pie, Monkey, Sweetie Petey
- still hasn't let his biggest, best smile get captured on camera yet
- laughs and smiles all the time and is just generally a super sweet baby
And here are just a couple dozen pictures from Isaac's 7-month photo shoot.
stretching to warm up for the paparazzi |
Does Isaac have a future career in modeling? We don't want this to go to his head, but obviously the camera loves him and he has really been demonstrating a wide array of directions and poses. Just see for yourself how he...

Impressive, isn't it?
Now here are just a few more shots from his 7-month portfolio:

And as
always, the dogs had some time in the spotlight too. This month Isaac was more
in tune than ever to his buddy Allie.
